Goodbye, batchmate

One of my batchmates has died. May he rest in peace.

I heard it from Marcos. Well, first I thought he was kidding around (well, he /is/ the type who likes to joke around), but it happened that he was dead-serious. I just found out yesterday.

Sigh.

I only know his face and name, but I never really got to talk to him. I really regret that, I mean, now I only have a face and name to remember him by. I don't even know if he's funny, or serious, or nice. I wanted to dedicate this post to him, but I have nothing to say.

It's sad to lose a batchmate, especially when you come from a school where everybody knows everybody else. Man.

Condolences to his friends and family.

im back... for five minutes...

Okay, so I know, I've been gone for a long time. A VERY LONG TIME. I really do intend to make an outrageously long post. Take your time to prepare to read. (Not forcing you, though)

HOWEVER, the sem break is nearing, and it's BLOGGING time!! (Geez, that was cheesy. Please kill me now)

Why I haven't blogged (in more or less chronological order)

The dengue scare.

As you guys probably heard from me and sarj, I had dengue last July. I was out of school for TWO freaking weeks and spent 8 days in the hospital. It was atypical dengue bordering on stage 2 and stage 4, stage 4, thankfully, was successfully evaded. The blood vessels on my arms and legs (the capillaries or else, they won't tell me) ruptured and my limbs became literally, the color of blood. I was too weak from throwing up all my food for the first few days, but when I finally got to walk, my legs hurt like shit and they would turn, according to me and sarj, to an amusing shade of purple.

And so, I called my profs the day I was released. My prof told me that if I won't make it to the dep exam the next day, I'd have a zero for a grade. And it gets even better. He won't give me a special exam. And half-groggily, with almost no study at all, and with my hospital tag STILL ON MY WRIST, I went to school the next day, took the freaking exam, and went home. I was back to school in a week.

The Schedule and CLasses of DOOM
I was veeeery busy. After the dengue thing, I had to work double time to catch up with my classes. And again, bio was in the spotlight because the freakin subject is all about FREAKIN MINDLESS MEMORIZATION. If you memorize like a drone, you'll be the resident class genius. If you memorize like me, aka, memorizing only the things you understand, YOU WILL PROBABLY FLUNK. The subject is a HUGE blow to my studying style, and so far my head's barely above the water. NEED. TO. PULL. THROUGH.

Also, my other subjects included: CommIII (moderately toxic), Histo II (uselessly toxic), Fil 50 (borders from stupidly to not toxic), Hum I (toxic, yet fun), Soc Sci II (annoyingly and unfairly toxic), and Arnis I (made my arms fall off for the first few meetings).

The gamer in me is evidently still alive.

Yeah, I played (with my brother and my cousins) a couple of videogames. Listing them down with short descriptions:

Resident Evil 4: ROCKS. Gameplay is SMOOTH, the guns rock, the enemies are much smarter than mindless zombies (heck, they wield ROCKET LAUNCHERS, for crying out loud), Leon's hair is pirated off a shampoo commercial and you get to kick ass as a girl (Ada). But it's not scary.

Fatal Frame 3: SCARED ME WITLESS. We weren't able to finish it because I, for one, needed to be able to sleep. The japanese are really mental for these scary stuff. It's also annoying how Rei runs--that's not running, woman, that is skipping. You don't expect to run away from a very angry shrine priestess by skipping. Graphics looks good, though.

Silent Hill 3: JUST PLAIN GROSS. This game isn't scary, it's just... gross. Think aliens, monsters, and blood and grime all over the walls. Also, the people who made the game didn't make a clear 'point-and-shoot' strategy for the guns. It was more like, 'point-somewhere-else-and-shoot', and then the bullets magically hit the targets. So Silent Hill has now developed target-seeking bullets? Okayyy...

Suikoden V: SUIKO 2 STILL ROCKS. And so it goes. The gameplay is a bit less user-friendly than the first ones because there aren't any tutorials. The story takes a VEEEEERY long time to develop, I finished it in like, 80 hours or so. The story is better than Suikoden 3's, but I still give the best villain award to Luc. Gizel's character is prolly the best, but unlike in Suiko 3, his personality isn't shown enough to be appreciated. Graphics rocks, too. The mini-games are also more fun than the past suikos, I spent countless hours on them. The battle system is more realistic, more like real battles and less like chess or checkers, but a hell lot more annoying.

I'm playing Digimon 4 and Suikoden Tactics right now, but I can review them later.

This isn't under the 'why i wasn't able to blog' category, but I put it here anyway.

WOULD YOU GUYS BELIEVE THAT I ACTUALLY WON AN ARNIS MATCH?!

Like, hell. It's actually quite a stupid thing to make such a fuss about, but it gave me a signal that I am not much of a weakling I think I am. Now I am a weakling who knows Arnis! Bwahaha! And I think I really earned it--my enemy, a girl around the height of my ear, was cornering me with all these thrusts and slashes and screams (yes, she was screaming on top of her lungs, which scared the hell out of my classmates, who were rooting for me, those darlings), my head armor was falling over my eyes because the dumbass who put it on me tied it up at the wrong place, and my opponent's eyes told me that she was determined to kill me.

Yet I somehow, by some miracle, managed to win. Man, it was so COOL. I'll never forget that match, and the look that girl had when we were fighting (I was shaking like hell after the match 'cause I can't get it off my mind). She had a lot of heart, I feel a bit guilty, I don't think I had much of a right to be her opponent because I wasn't as passionate or as determined as her. I admired that.

So why did I decide to blog again? Well, I kinda tried to find time to right now. I feel bad that my speech in Comm III is about blogging but I haven't blogged for months now. Well, also, I missed you guys, pretty much. I can't read your blogs right now 'cause I now have to practice my speech and read my bio book. I have an exam tomorrow.

I'll probably change the layout this sem break.

P.S. I now leave you with an mp3 from Il Postino (The Postman), titled 'Tonight I can Write the Saddest of Lines'. It's written by Pablo Neruda, my Hum I prof played it to us last meeting. It almost made me cry (seriously). It's read by Andy Garcia. Posting the link next time, but here's the site url: http://www.geocities.com/nerudapoet/file/tonighticanwrite.mp3 (this sucks, I have to steal bandwidth because my connection sucks... i think i also found another copy off another person's blog...). I was trying to find other tracks, apparently other actors like Julia Roberts, Miranda Richardson, Ralph Fiennes, Samuel Jackson, etc read other Neruda poems. (It is taking an awfully long time to upload...)

"Tonight I Can Write"
By Pablo Neruda

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.

Write, for example, "The night is starry
and the stars are blue and shiver in the distance."

The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.

She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.

To hear the immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.

What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is starry and she is not with me.

This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.

The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.

I no longer love her, that's certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.

Another's. She will be another's. As she was before my kisses.
Her voice, her bright body. Her infinite eyes.

I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is so short, forgetting is so long.

Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her.

Manga recommendations. And a quiz.

Whew, I thought I'd never make it to post again. Anyway, let's be productive *snigger*. Manga. Enjoy! :D

Bukiyou na SILENT by Takanaga Hinako (from http://mochi.harusame.net)

This manga is shounen ai. I actually find it quite cute. And amusing.

Satoru Toono is a high school student who has a HUGE problem expressing himself. Not only in words, but also, for some reason, he cannot express much about how he feels in his facial expressions. He is usually seen with the blank look in his face, and even if his long-time crush, Tamiya, confesses to him, his face refuses to show that he’s happy. Or shocked. The story goes on as Satoru struggles to let Tamiya know how he feels, and as Tamiya tries to understand and interpret (as much as he can) from Toono, who never really seems to show any emotion.

I love this manga because the characters are light-hearted, yet interesting. I loved Rin because it’s interesting, but it’s a bit more on the angsty side, and this one’s more on the light-hearted side, sort of. Note I am not comparing Rin to this because they’re on totally different grounds, I’m just noting a similarity. Also, I love Toono’s character—I wonder how it feels like to be very happy and not be able to express it? All in all, good read. This manga is supposed to be a one-shot, but it got popular so there’s a chapter two to be released (from scanlation) soon. :D

Chou ni Naru Hi by Yumeka Sumomo (from http://mochi.harusame.net)

Another shounen ai manga. This one’s about Uka, a 15-year-old boy who suffers from a terminal illness. It’s a bit angsty because Mimi thinks a lot about how people treat him because he’s sick. He feels extremely uncomfortable with it, but it seems to him that he can’t do anything about it. Uka is also interested in a boy named Mikami, who is rumored to be able to hear of a person’s death.

I love this manga’s concept of using butterflies. I like butterflies (or how they look, at least). :D The art’s okay, and the story is a bit serious, to some extent. I just feel a bit uncomfortable when looking at Uka from some angles, for some reason. Maybe because he’s too disturbingly effeminate? ^^; Anyway, this is also a good manga, not /good/ good, but good enough. :D

Tenkuu no Escaflowne Yashiro Yuzuru.

First of all, there were rumors that there are actually two escaflowne manga out there—one made by a guy and one made by a girl. This is the one made by the girl. Just so we are clear on that.

It seems that this manga is a bit different from the anime, sort of an alternate reality of the anime. Hitomi here looks a bit like an airhead, which I didn’t like, and it seems that the artist is still new to the manga business. ^-^; Some of the pages have inconsistent art, but story-wise, it seems fine. Also, I’ve only read chapter one, so there isn’t much to see yet.

All in all, I didn’t like the escaflowne manga very much. This is one of those cases when the anime seems to be better than the manga. If the manga made by the guy is out there somewhere, I am interested on how it turned out… I’m giving this one up.

XXXholic by CLAMP (from http://www.bwys.net)

Hurrah! Clamp! (and not shounen ai!)

The story of this manga is about Watanuki Kimihiro, an ordinary-looking high school boy who has unnaturally high spiritual power. Because of this, he is often followed, stalked and chased by demons all around. He isn’t much of a fighter and more of a complainer, and he lives alone because his parents died when he was very young. One day, after being chased by a demon (again), he stumbles upon a shop owned by Yuuko-san, a shop that sells wishes to people… And that is how all his troubles began.

Intro-wise, Watanuki is a bit similar to Ichigo, isn’t it? Attractive to demons/hollows and unnaturally high spiritual power. However, I like Watanuki more because Ichigo is too kick-ass… He’s too perfect. Watanuki, on the other hand, even though he has spiritual power, is more of a ‘see-er’ or ‘senser’ than a fighter. And he also helps settle disputes or problems in his own way, and not in battle. ^-^ But XXXholic is in no way Bleach, and Bleach is not XXXholic (and I liked different things in them anyway, I love bleach’s humor and XXXholic’s characters).

I love how CLAMP made characters in XXXholic, Watanuki just rocks! Even though he complains an awful lot, and acts so stubbornly, and has a crush on a possible threat to him(or as hinted. I think.)! Also, as expected from CLAMP, the art is beautiful. I just didn’t like the fact that CLAMP reuses a lot of their characters (yeah, a lot of characters from other manga are making cameos in XXXholic) because I haven’t read all of their manga. Some of the readers might feel ‘left-out’. I like this manga very much. I wanna continue reading it! *is in chapter 1 of volume 7, but missed the whole of volume 5 except chaps 1 and 2*

You scored as Engineering. You should be an Engineering major!

Engineering

75%

Philosophy

75%

Psychology

75%

Mathematics

67%

Theater

<table border="1"
... because i can't get my hands on the fma movie.

I am so into PS2 gaming. ^^

Sorry again. I have been moping around because I can't procure a copy of the FMA movie so I was extremely ecstatic about this game.

Fullmetal Alchemist 2: The Crimson Shards

*in Lior, Ed picks up an ordinary-looking ring, except that its jewel has a small, embedded transmutation circle in it. Not knowing what it is, he brings it back at HQ*

ED: Colonel, what can you say about this ring? *hands ring to Roy*
MUSTANG: I am sorry, Fullmetal, but I cannot accept a gift from a man.
ED: WHO SAID THAT I WAS GIVING IT TO YOU?!
HUGHES: If you're not giving it to Roy, then... *loads his gun* YOU PUNK! YOU'RE MAKING A MOVE ON MY ELIZA!!
AL: Brother! How dare you! Making a move on a two-year-old girl! You start early, don't you?!
HUGHES: Roy, let's grill this shrimp. *evil look* I'm getting the skewers.
ROY: ... and I'll take care of the flames.

aaaah, I missed these scenes. ^^; I miss Hughes, too. I miss Roy. I miss the Elric brothers. I miss FMA, that's why I LOVE this game. Crimson Shards' platform is of course, PS2. It's an RPG. The plot (so far) is quite similar and almost based on FMA series itself, except for minor changes (like the terrorist battle, instead of being in the train, was done in the sewers. Ed's quote on sewers: 'Eeeew... It smells like something died here... Several times over...').

WHAT I LIKED:

Graphics is great. The game uses cel shading for the characters and the environment is completely 3d, except when the characters are conversing (but who gives the hey about graphics during conversations if they're as amusing as that? *points up*)

Gameplay is teh love. ^^ I can kick ass using ALCHEMY! You control Ed, who does the alchemy, but he can jump in and punch/kick a few thugs. He can also conjure swords/lances/etc or make a blade out of his automail. You can also give commands to Al, who is GREAT at mano-a-mano combat. Also, you can use alchemy to make gatling guns, Ed cannons (that's what I call them), Ed vacuums (like the one he used on the train to get the water in the car), and Ed wind-it-dolls (sorry for the weird names, they don't name the things); these items/weapons help Ed and Al throughout the game and add an interesting twist to gameplay.

Plot's cool. Though the plot has gone through several renditions, it's still essentially faithful to the series, which is LOVE... ^^

The game itself looks very promising. I'd like to play more. Who knows, I might get a match vs Roy! Bohahaha!

WHAT WAS OKAY:

It was dubbed in English, which was essentially okay. The conversations seem to be faithful enough to a Japanese translation of what they could have said. I actually liked Al's, Hughes' and Hawkeye's voices. Hughes has a nice 'doting-over-my-daughter' voice!

They used L'arc's "Ready Steady Go!" as the game's opening song. It's okay, but personally, I think "Rewrite" is better. (Go AKFG!!)

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:

ED'S VOICE IS HORRIBLE. I think they hired the Ninja Turtle's dubbers to dub for him. I was wincing a lot as Ed was talking, and he doesn't sound as Ed-ish as he should be... The actual words are okay, but the voice is so... Teeny-bopperish. It's irritating.

I didn't like the BGM so much, either. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it's really that good.

Rose is as annoying as EVER. -_-;

Conero is still a huge ass.

THINGS I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER ABOUT:

Since it's an RPG, it has items and equips and stuff. Ed doesn't appear to be carrying anything resembling a bag. Do they store the items inside Al...?

Al picked up a cat somewhere in the sewers. It was an ITEM. They named it BELICINI. If you equip this cat to Al, Al doesn't get stunned. I wonder how it prevents stunning?

Where did all the homninculi go...? I haven't seen a single one of them, not even in Lior.

Is it possible to equip Black Hayate(though I haven't actually seen him yet)? Wonder what he does?

I picked up this equipment called "White Loincloth". Item description: Makes Al stands still. Wtf? (what's the use of that? if Al can't move, he can't fight, and Ed's toast... Right?)

^-^ since it's vacation, i need to abuse the PC rights. right?

... just felt like posting something.

Uhh... How do I put this.

WE GOT A PS2.

Sorry. I've waited quite a long time for that PS2. We also tried out a few games at it, too. ^-^

Inu Yasha: Feudal Combat

Game type is the versus thingie, as in, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, etc.

WHAT I LIKED: Well, the graphics, despite being 3d, is VERY faithful to the anime. I love how they did it, the shading is v. good (as compared to another anime-turned-game videogame I tried). Also, I like the 3d-ness of the gaming environment, unlike Tekken, you can actually move in ALL directions and attack in /ALL/ directions. I also like the concept of team battle, where you control your main character and have another character to issue commands with (like support mode, attack mode, defend mode... etc.). And that being said, I also like the fact that SHIPPOU KICKS ASS. Yes he does, I kicked my cousin's Sessoumaru and Naraku's behind using SHIPPOU (as main combatant) and Sangou. Which is, like, COOL.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: what we all hate. THEY FRICKIN' DUBBED IT IN ENGLISH! Why?! Why?!

Naruto 1

Game type is again, versus.

WHAT I LIKED: Well, they didn't dub it. However, everything's in japanese, and I can't read kanji and hiragana, so I dunno what the hell I was doing. I LOVE the environments/backgrounds of the battle, and I think it's okay that you can switch scenery in the middle of the battle. I also like their concept of using special techniques (like how to kick ass with Lee's Initial Lotus, or Naruto's summoning technique, or whatever), because it's challenging.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: CHARACTER DESIGN. The characters were faithful, okay, to the actual design, but they didn't get rid of the manga-shading lines. As in, those diagonal lines used to indicate shading in the neck or clothing. IMAGINE HOW THEY LOOK IN 3d. I thought it was horrible. T_T; Oh well, my cousins don't mind... Ah. And I can't really kick ass in this game. I managed to win by luck using Orochimaru versus my cousin's Gaara, but, it was plainly luck.

Chicken Little

Game type is arcade. You know, when you control one character as your first person, run around, attack, whatever.

WHAT I LIKED: Graphics is good, as expected. No need to evaluate that. The game is based entirely on the movie, so as the story goes on, it feels like you're watching the movie. ^^; I also like the idea that you don't just run around and attack stuff, some missions (as other games may call it) include pressing and timing buttons, or driving around in a crazy car, or trying to control the damn chicken while he's crazily and uncontrollably jumping up and down cushions. And the loading screens include chicken little dancing his dance at the trailer, which is CUTE. ^^

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: Chicken Little is an abnormal, high-inertia-moving chicken. It's so HARD to control the little guy, he runs too fast when you're running around and it's hard to make him steer or jump. Even if you have quick reaction time, it's pretty useless if you can't cope up with chicken little's reaction time to your pressing the buttons. Also, the enemies I have so far encountered are practically WORTHLESS. I just push square TWICE and they DIE. WTF?

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

Game type is arcade.

WHAT I LIKED: I ABSOLUTELY WORSHIP THIS GAME. First of all, the graphics is very good, and the environment is very realistic. Second, the prince has a HUGE variety of moves. He can run ALONG walls, climb walls, dangle from heights of no return, parry his front AND back, do some real kick-ass combos, climb up chains, slide down cracks, roll around, tumble-toss HUGE guards--the point is, he has SO many moves. And, you can utilize them ALL, depending on the situation. IE, you need to get to the other side of a cliff and the distance is too much for a jump, you can just get the prince to run along the wall to get there. Plus, the prince handles SO WELL. There are only two ways to die in this game: if you get killed in battle, and if you retardedly pushed the "let go" button while hanging off a ledge. The prince handles so well that you die only on the 'die-able' parts of a game. If you accidentally walk over the edge of a cliff, he automatically clings on it (which is like, COOL). Also, since the prince has SO many battle moves, his enemies also have a variety of moves, which could be challenging, but manageable (I have figured out a battle tactic that takes some time but leaves the Prince practically unscathed versus sand-guard opponents). I love the loading screens' design, and the menu design when you pause the game. Also, the prince transforms every now and then into this KICK-ASS monster who can take on almost anything in HUGE numbers(but has a very important weakness, which adds a lot of challenge to the game). Ah, and you can rotate the camera at ALL possible angles!! Ah, so many good points.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: Uhh, the game is full of puzzles, see. And the story is laid down as you play the game. When we play the game(Neil and me), usually one of us is the one holding the joystick as the other tries to get on with the puzzle/battle. It's not exactly easy to listen to narration while trying to kick serious ass. Plus sometimes, the narration says important points on how to do or win something, so it could get pretty annoying if you can't pay attention to it. -_-; also, the leading lady is unbelievably narcissistic. Go get a life, woman.

Ah, and yes, my cousin Malky is here at home. *wink wink*

Uhh yes, sigs. I just recently joined in a sig battle (contestants make the sigs, members in the forum vote for which one they thought was better, most votes or first to reach a number of agreed votes wins) and this is my submission:

Personally, I think it's quite good.^-^ I am up against a veteran who has a lot of fans, and my standing in the votes isn't so bad. ^-^ (babaw ng kaligayan ko)

I also have another upcoming battle, if you have the time, please tell me if my submission is satisfactory, and please give me suggestions on improving it (it's okay if you totally ignore this one, but THANK YOU in advance to anyone who notices... ^-^;;;):

And being better than me at it is a plus(but that's easy, 'cause i suck).
5. He should be sensitive and know when I need a hug, or when to make fun of me. Yes, there are times when I enjoy people making fun of me, especially when I deliberately will it.
6. He should be able to control me. And tell me when I'm already hurting someone.
7. He should be able to defend me.
8. If we don't agree on something, he should be able to respect my opinion, and not force me to change it. Anyway, I liked the way it turned out. Sort of. ^-^; Featuring Cloud and Tifa from FF7 Advent Children. Was supposed to be a Tatsuki (from Bleach) layout, but this image looks better in this than Tatsuki, so I decided to use this one. I own a fake dvd and burned VCD of Advent Children, but I haven't watched it yet. (Nadine=Weird)

On the other news, I asked my brother to unearth my guitar. And guess what? I TUNED IT. And it WORKED. I am so amazed: I CAN TUNE A GUITAR!!! Actually, it kind of came more like luck than skill, but heyyy... First time. Sintunado kasi ako kaya masaya ako na na-tono ko gitara ko.

Oh shoot. I forgot to upload the award to the people who read the previous post. It shall follow.

Does anyone notice the time? Yeah, I get to surf the net at the wee unholy hours of the morning or around midnight 'cause the line's relatively stable at that time and no calls would interrupt me.

Sigh. I want the old connection back. This one is bad--I'm at 30.6 kbps. Imagine how I manage.

Exam rants. Yeah.

Hwarharhar. I'm so weird.

I forgot to rant about this in the past: took a philo exam. Scheduled for around two hours. Subject: logic (yeah, friggg... the modus tollens thing.) It was in the LT, an auditorium-type place: lottsa chairs, lottsa students. Had 3 hours of sleep the night before. And guess what.

I FORKING SLEPT THROUGH THE FORKING EXAM. REM and all. Without even finishing it halfway. Oh good heavens, what's WRONG with me?

Fortunately, the person in front of me did a little stretching and accidentally tapped my head. I jerked awake, and I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how much time I had left. So I rushed answering most of the latter items. And rechecked a couple of my answers before I fell asleep, as I was so sleepy my brain probably wasn't even working at that time. I passed my paper, unknowingly, around 10 or 20mins before the allotted time ends.

The results came a week later. OH GOOD FORKING HEAVENS. For some strange, unholy, impossible reason, I got 40/50. Which was pretty high, considering that I was third highest (I think) in my class. It /was/ pretty low if I was in other classes, *cough*Intarmed*cough*, but STILL. Some weird forces must've been at work there. Some very, very, weird forces indeed.

I was wading knee-deep in discarded Nadine brain-cells this afternoon. Had a history exam. Tried to study last night for it, but I FELL ASLEEP AGAIN DAMMIT. So basically, I took the test, stocked-knowledge mode. Which is pretty scary, since it's History. And my brain can't put two and two together anymore. I don't know if it's just me, but WHY DOES THE FORKING EXAM HAVE 6 or MORE ITEMS WHICH ANWERS CONSIST OF ANDRES BONIFACIO, BONIFACIO and even more ANDRES BONIFACIO?! And like, 5 or 6 MORE FOR AGUINALDO, and a couple more for MABINI, and RIZAL?! WHY?! WHYYYY?! I almost answered APOLINARIO BONIFACIO, for CRYING OUT LOUD. If I get a high score in this exam, I shall throw a party. I feel obligued.

Yeah, useless ranting. Ignore if you must.

This is utter weirdness. Ninoy Day tapos may pasok! Grar. PEro all public elementary and high school walang pasok. Gloria, what's wrong with you? Masyado mo atang dinidibdib si Cory Aquino ah!

On other news, I had my first encounter with male strippers today as I was walking to school with Nicole. Uhh, paano, pakalat-kalat kasi sila dun sa daan. One of them were like, jokingly trying to annoy us. I think.

Dude: Hi Ms. Papasok na kayo? Kami papauwi pa lang! Ok di ba? (EARTH TO NADINE: OBVIOUSLY THIS DUDE /IS/ A STRIPPER I WONDER WHAT THE HECK I WAS THINKING AT THAT TIME)

Nadine: ...

Dude: (looks at Nadine's math module) Wow, ang sipag naman mag-aral ni Ms. Sipagan nio pa ha? *followed by indistinct mumbles as Nadine walks far, far away*

The dudes actually look gay, if you first see them. Heck, they probably /are/ gay. -_-; But not all male strippers are gay, right? They look pretty rich too. They had nice clothes. So okay, summary: male strippers are blatant weirdos who dress like rich people and want attention on them. And they hang out in the middle of streets trying to get themselves killed.

Hahaha. Ang korni no?

Hello Nietzsche. And I'm no superhuman either.

My GOD I should stop being a philo1 nerd. I scare my classmates enough as it is. >,< I'd probably start failing philo the next couple of weeks anyway, we're about to start on logic... And apparently, my talent lies in NOT making sense at all. >,<

I'm so doomed.

Does anyone here know about depapepe? I listened to one of their songs, START (from the album Let's Go!! I think...) I'm in a bad issue of LSS. The damn song is looping in my head over and over and over and over again... It's starting to drive me crazy. I need to download their album somewhere. >,

...the moment we were born, we were old enough to die.

First of all, I would like to express my utter and extreme hatred of a certain person at school. I HOPE THAT /THING/ DIES, GETS EATEN BY DECOMPOSING ORGANISMS, GETS CREMATED AND ITS ASHES SHOULD BE SCATTERED AT THE SEE SO HER SOUL IS FOREVER LOST IN PURGATORY OR HELL(it would most likely end up in hell though).

That's all. More light-hearted things here now. (sorry. am not a born artist, but i think my scribbles are not much of an eyesore... i hope. X_X)

'nuff said. duh. good luck to me during exams.

Yeah, they're practically useless actually.

WARNING: INCREDIBLE VANITY UP AHEAD. I'm sorry. I just felt like posting my grad pics.
Hm. Looks like I might be using my LJ more than my actual blog, Afterthoughts. My laptop can't handle my manual blogging (yes, it has become quite annoying) and looks like I'd use more of my LJ... T____T

I really need to get a new laptop. T__________T

Also, I might use this LJ to rant without getting caught. You people probably know what I mean.

Hn. I'm thinking of putting Afterthoughts on hiatus. ;____; I'd probably update people on my life here instead.

OMG. Watched Saiyuki Reload today, forgot what episode it is, but damn. OMG. Shall we rant about it in bullet format? Oh yes. Let's.

Hakkai is still so hot. Yeah. I just really needed to say that. Especially if he has transformed to evil, blood-lusting, demon-Hakkai mode. Even though what he really looks like as a demon wasn't really shown this episode. Yeah.

Is Hakkai the kid-guy in saiyuki? I think not. Gojyo is the new kid guy!! *gives kid guy award to the confused and not exactly excited gojyo* Credits are from Ginkaku. No wait. Kinkaku. Aaah, heck, from the evil youkai kid twins.

HARHARHAR. I am so totally addicted to saiyuki right now. In Saiyuki Reload Gunlock, all four of the saiyuki boys are going to fight half-naked!! Harharhar!! Including Hakkai and Sanzo!! Especially HAKKAI! Well, it's such a rarity for both of them to take their shirts off, and since evil Animax people have showed a particular scene showing four of 'em (hm. make that three; i didn't think i noticed goku) topless. Lolz. Evil Animax people want fangirls to get hooked to Gunlock even /before/ the series shows. Eeeevil animax people. Hope Gunlock is in JAPANESE DUB W/ ENGLISH SUBTITLES. Will hunt the gunlock series if that happens.
